Endless Surf: the tech behind the waves

Only a surfer knows the feeling.

The difference between Endless Surf and other surf park tech on the market is immediately obvious to an experienced surfer. But it’s also critical for beginners and those wanting to feel more confident on the waves.

It’s as close as we can get to the real thing.

Endless Surf is a cutting-edge surf technology that’s set to bring powerful, flexible, consistent and truly enjoyable waves to The Break.

Powered by 40 years of innovation in pneumatic technology, this next-gen tech uses a unique system of fans and blowers to create waves unlike anything else on the market.

But what makes it right for The Break? As The Break CEO Craig Mitchell explains, it’s all about flexibility.

“We can dial up any type of wave you imagine, from a small knee-high Malibu wave to something much more challenging for advanced surfers,” Craig said.

“One of the most exciting features is the continuous wave flow. Unlike traditional surf breaks, our waves don’t stop.”

“We can produce up to 2.1-metre-high waves, A-frame waves every 10 to 12 seconds that last up to 24 seconds, giving you plenty of time to carve, turn and experience the closest thing to the power of the ocean, without interruption.”

The Break’s expansive lagoon will have four zones, each generating waves every few seconds – meaning the tech can produce up to to 1200 surfable waves per hour for up to 70 surfers per hour.

“Of course, we can never exactly replicate the experience of being in the ocean, nor do we want to,” Craig said.

“But this is pretty bloody close – and it’s a perfect wave, every time, for every kind of surfer.

“We can adjust wave sections to ensure that everyone’s having a great experience. Wave parks are set to change how we surf in the best possible way – bringing all kinds of people together to share in that same exhilaration.

“Plus, the system is incredibly reliable with no single point of failure, ensuring the flow never stops. It’s in the name, but the tech really does provide us with Endless Surf.”
